Iyengar yoga differs from other forms of yoga in that the focus is on the detail to body alignment, and covers both standing poses and basic seated poses. The poses are broken down & explored in a more static and controlled manner, rather than as a flowing sequence. The classes are taught in the classical Iyengar method with precise instructions to realign the body to its natural state, helping tight muscles, general back aches and stiff joints. The body/mind focus will help to calm a busy mind. Also, props may be used to bring a deeper understanding to the poses.
At Waverton Physio, Iyengar Yoga runs in 5 weeks terms. This allows you the opportunity to learn, practice and reform the poses in a safe environment.
The next term starts on Thursday 6th June 7:45pm (5 weeks).
